That IRD files was made by people with a special adaptor board + a real PS3 BD drive connected to the PC. Maybe by using some of the keys that appears in the IRD files I dont know if there is some way to remove that "encryption layer" with a PC and a standard BD PC drive The best thing you can do nowadays is to preserve the game files as much closer to the originals ![]() Nowadays you have a firmware installed in your PS3 that is bigger than the firmware required by the game to run. So we was resigning the EBOOT.BIN and all game executables to 3.40Īctually, most homebrew apps are signed for 3.40 because thats the first PS3 firmware that was hacked (but we could use 1.00 or something lower though) The reason why we needed to resign them years ago is because the scene was stopped in 3.55 but was released new games using keys newer than 3.55 (games published for 3.56 later 3.60 etc.) If you remove the encryption layer you still have encrypted files (like the EBOOT.BIN) but that ones are fine and readable with a backup manager, you can make an ISO with them some of that regions are covered by a blanket (an encryption layer) the BD disc is divided in regions (or partitions) ![]() a PC? I was using my PC as it's much faster, plus I ripped many games using a PC with a BD drive years ago and had success with those games. Is there any special magic or secret sauce happening when a game is ripped on a PS3 vs. However I verified one game which didn't work when ripped on my PC did work when ripped using multiMAN! To be sure I even tried this dump on another console and it worked just fine, but the PC dumps do not. Every time I try to boot up a game from a manager, then go to XMB and boot it from the disc icon, it goes through the process of booting up then kicks me back to the XMB with a 80010017 error. I've attempted to use IRISMAN, multiMAN, and ManaGunZ. I was messing around with PS3HEN quite a bit and thought maybe it was a quirk with that, but just now trying this on my 4.84 REBUG CEX CFW console and have the same issue! Tried playing internally and externally, no luck with these. So I'm currently backing up a few games to test out and I've noticed I have had absolutely no luck getting games dumped from my PC to boot up! I've simply copy/pasted the files and have also made an ISO of the disc then extracted it.
